controller board[edit]
There are hundreds of microcontrollers and development boards that could be used for the controller board.
Some options we considered:
- the AVR Butterfly based on an Atmel AVR
- the USB Bit Whacker based on a PIC18 microcontroller running Great Cows Basic.
- The Boarduino based on the Atmel ATmega (Arduino Links)

digital potentiometers[edit]
At one time we considered using Digital Potentiometers on this board. I can't remember why we decided we didn't need them after all. Do you? --DavidCary 12:29, 6 October 2008 (PDT)
