ARM is a British company that designs microcontrollers/microprocessors cores and then licenses these designs to electronics manufacturers so they can be implemented in silicon and sold. Familiar examples include the arm7 and arm9 cores. They are used in digital cameras and pdas and mobile/cell phones.
