However annoying spammers are make sure to check all revisions to upto the last good version. In order to not accidently delete valuable information.
A good cue that spamming is occouring is large additions ie +12,000 bytes etc..
1) Find the spammed article.
2) Click on the "hist" link.

3) Click on the "last" links until you find the last good edit.

5) Select "edit".
6) Write "rv" in the Summary field. (Optionally, put the source of the spammer (like 159.145.0.0/16 State of CA, Dept. of Consumer Affairs/USA = Spammer) in the Summary (helps keep track on trends on where it comes from).
7) Click on "Save page".
8) Done!
